Liquid Oxygen and Gaseous Oxygen (LOX/GOX) use is critical to any manned flight mission. Cleaning and Lubrication for LOX/GOX applications is equally important.
Cleaning is an essential process in aircraft production, maintenance and repair to ensure its safe operation. Effective cleaning agents must remove a wide range of contaminants, yet be compatible with a wide range of metals, plastics and elastomers AND still have superb oxygen compatibility.
Novec Engineered Fluids have proven to be highly effective and versatile cleaning solvents: Excellent materials compatibility, Can be used in vapor degreasing, tube flushing, spray cleaning and hand wipe operations, Not hazardous air pollutants, Nonflammable throughout the cleaning and drying process, Non-ozone depleting and low global warming potential.
Novec™ Engineered Fluids are specified or found to meet the requirements for AMS-1526B, Boeing D6-17487, BAC 5750, BAC 5402, ADS 61 PRS, MILSTD 1330 and SAS 0073.
Branson™ Ultrasonic brings over 50 years of made in America Ultrasonic vapor degreasers, and ultrasonic aqueous cleaning systems that are used daily in LOX/GOX and precision cleaning applications. With systems from Bench-top on up, Branson has a machine for every need, including custom designs.
When Lubrication in the same LOX/GOX hardware or O-rings is needed, Lubrication Technology Inc’s CHRISTO-LUBE® MCG 111 lubricant is the only lubricant where one grade meets all three types under Mil-PRF27617F types I, II and III with temperature operating range of -100°F to +450°F.
More professionals use CHRISTO-LUBE® oxygen compatible lubricants, which were designed specifically for open and closed circuit diving systems. Lubrication Technology, Inc. is an ISO/TS 16949:2002 and ISO 9001:200 company and has been proudly serving Military, Commercial and Recreational divers since 1990. CHRISTO-LUBE® oxygen compatible lubricants are stock items.

Air Force MIL-PRF-27617F Grease, Aircraft and Instrument, Fuel and Oxidizer Resistant
(This specification covers the requirements of greases resistant to hydrocarbon fuel and liquid oxygen and for use as lubricants in aircraft, aerospace vehicles, and supporting equipment)
Meets the specification requirements and has been qualified under Military Specification MIL-PRF-27617F, Types I, II and III. CHRISTO-LUBE® MCG 111 is a chemically inert, oxygen compatible, wide operating temperature range perfluoropolyether grease which was developed for use in systems where non-reactivity with harsh chemicals including strong acids and oxidizers, fuels and solvents is an important factor. Uses for CHRISTO-LUBE® MCG 111 include all types of life support systems, including open and closed circuit diving systems, aviation oxygen, hyperbaric chambers and medical gas regulators. Other uses include instrumentation, pneumatic cylinders, electrical contacts and switches. Please refer to technical data sheet for typical performance properties.
